Position: Linux Kernel Engineer

Job Description and Responsibilities

Embedded Software Engineer with extensive experience in a Linux environment. The position involves the development and implementation of an Error detection and handling solutions for MPstor. The ideal candidate has recent, demonstrated, hands-on development expertise with Linux.
The position involves a significant level of autonomy in which a self-motivated applicant will work independently to develop solutions.


  • Develop a low-level error detection and error handling solution for storage products.
  • Experience with writing kernel error exceptions code to detect and handle kernel issues.
  • Experience with implementing a wide range of low-level embedded software (including device driver, Linux kernel modules, network stack development, storage management, memory management and other low level programming activities.
  • Work independently, take ownership, demonstrate aggressiveness in completing tasks, and continuing to develop the abilities to assume more advanced assignments and greater responsibility.
  • Build and maintain knowledge base of kernel issue and remedial actions.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • 3 to 5 years of programming experience using C or C++.
  • Experience developing software for Linux systems.
  • Experience with Linux driver development.
  • Experience with Linux kernel and kernel module development.
  • Current responsibilities are primarily coding.
